Wonderful destination for Israeli tourists

A group of well-known journalists from Israel mass media visited Lithuania in August. The major tourist attractions, such as Vilnius old town and Curonian spit on the Baltic sea (both included into the UNESCO heritage list), medieval Trakai castle as well as the Jewish heritage sites were visited.

During the meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania Mr Edminas Bagdonas the journalists shared their views on the potential of Lithuania as a tourist destination for Israeli tourists emphasizing a broad range of interesting attractions for different groups of tourists: historical and architectural sites, nature attractions and leisure activities. More detailed information on the first hand experiences of the journalists could be found here: Channel 2 videoJerusalem Post article; article in magazine "Leisha".

The visit is the result of common efforts of the State Tourism Department of the Republic of Lithuania and the Embassy of Lithuania in Tel Aviv.
